Calvary Baptist Church is a spiritual family in which people have been able to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ as they serve the Lord together.

As one of our company’s web clients, I was challenged with creating logo concepts to propose a rebrand. I developed a variety of logos to present exploring the modernization of their logotype and the cross motif. While there were direct logomarks of a cross, I pushed the boundaries of symbolizing this spiritual icon through the use of negative space. By combining the cross with the bible in the one option, it was intended to project the meaning of salvation further. The concept of the rectangles and the cross produced from their negative space represents panes and embodies a window into the soul. The selection of teals and grays is a manifestation of truth, faith, and rejuvenation which are staples of the Christian faith.
